Its an arguable point and each has their favourite. I tend to use hangers, though always used swinger previously.

 

I believe hangers provide better bite indication, but as Eddie has stated, when it is very windy, swinger can help to eliminate false bites!

Fairy Liquid bottle tops. You get far more bites on the yellow ones than the red ones though. They changed the design several years ago and the current ones are unsuitable - probably due to pressure from PETA.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.
