Brilliant! Just a shame that he didn't keep quiet for one week, till the end of the season.

A big shame. At least it kept everyone off Horsey.

According to PAC it was caught in February, though.

Still haven't seen a pic of this behemoth. Any links? Some of us are stuck in the office today...

I thought it may have been you, Peter. Surely, with all those boats and electronic gizmos, you've had at least one forty? :D

And on the eighth day God created carp fishing...and he saw that it was pukka.

Looks almost too good to be real! Amazing fish.

I hope Angling Times have printed extra copies for this week, as that's bound to attract some serious attention.

Sorry that this thread vanished. I was on my way to a fishing trip and got a call asking me to remove the picture that was embedded here. Without being able to see what was posted in full, the safest option was to phone one of the moderators and ask them to hide the thread.

I've tidied the rest up a bit, so please feel free to continue discussing this magnificent capture.

Absolutely stunning fish I just was amazed when I saw the photos! Ive seen a couple of fish of this size (a couple in the flesh) but theyve all been TR fish.Im so chuffed thast a non TR fish of this weight has been caught!

God I hope that the idiot circus doesnt take the pi$$ but Im sure they will! Ah well seasons nearly over lets hope all is well.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

You could have!

Actually, Elton, I had seen a video of a readout from a very sophisticated fish finder that the EA have, showing a very large fish in that general area, and even that didn't help!

Brought Anglers mail yesterday and a lot of talk about this fish

33lb zander was interesting...that angler puts david blaine to shame, have no idea how he's holding it at the back at all! Catch reports amusing as well, love the 31lb 'cracker' of a pike....if that's a 31lb fish I'm the pope! To top it all off there's an article of a carper turned piker, well it's not that difficult to swap boilies for deadbaits, sling them out and sit on your arse.

Still, I did see a pic of Mr Goble in there (if it's real)....good to see an old boy catching such a fish :)
