is it a short eared owl?

 

 

No, and it's not native to the British Isles. :blink::blink:

 

I have sent the picture to the World Owl Trust, if they can't ID it then no one can.:):)

I took this shot a few months back, but I cant put a name to the bird..anyone help me there?

 

I am certain it is a fish owl of some type probably the Brown Fish Owl Bubo zeylonensis
