Alan Taylor:

I have been sitting here for about 10 minutes now and can just not find the words to thank you all for your kind messages over the last week   :o

Sonja printed out the topic for me and to be honest I was a bit choked for a while, it is difficult to explain how I felt at the time, I had just come through a very close call and the after care was taking too long for me, losing my xrays did'nt help much either as I had to wait an extra couple of days for the specialist to see me.

I do have to say a very special thank you to NORRIE, talking to him from hospital cheered me up no end, hiding under the sheets to call him on my mobile made me laugh so much I had to hang up and go for the oxygeon   :D   Thanks Norrie and everyone else again

  :)

The future       I had a scan of Wednesday and from what they can see it is either the sixth Chemo did not agree with me too well or that the Cancer is growing back again.  The Doc is confident that it is the Chemo and has given me a 14 day course of tablets to take to counter act the chemo and a scan on the 23rd.  I started the tablets a few days ago and this morning they must have kicked in big time, I felt great, just being able to breath makes a big difference to life   :D

I just have to put on weight, rest a lot and get strong enough for the next course of treatment after the 23rd, either radiation or an op, we will see but I will enjoy the rest until then.

Jim Roper= Please pass on that if they can keep an old fart like me ticking over then she should do just fine     good luck.

Thanks again one and all, your kind wishes make a difference

 Hi Alan, glad you're improving, just stumbled across this thread, I was wondering where you were, not having heard from you for a while.

You're not missing much, weather's lousy, had all my trips blown off, loads of gear to test too, tough luck.

By the time the weather's better all the pollock will have spawned.

I think I'm out with Paul at Weymouth next week with Colin on Flamer, will let you know how it goes, if we go, last two blown off, third time lucky.

Keep at it mate, don't lose heart, we're all with you on this one, united we stand. Cheers, Norman.

Glad to hear from you Alan,it must be a relief for Sonja to have you back home,(perhaps the nurses too )

Will hopefully be putting your disgorger to use this next week on holiday so Sonja may get a postcard.

Take great care.
