Just finished reading a thread set off by Jim & it surprised me that we had posters who did not know who he was. Being a prolific writer of books & articles over the last 40yrs (sorry Jim) with one of the highest profiles of his time, I just accepted that everybody would know.

 

Perhaps it's an age thing.

 

Would any of those posters who don't know of Jims writing past, or for that matter poledarks (another very fine writer) care to make their age known.

 

Just interested thats all.

 

If you would rather not have this thread started Jim or Den feel free to delete.

never heard of him ,despite a large library of books i cannot recognise his name ,i did though recognise dens real name when it was revealed from a interesting bit in a mag of long ago but i'm not being naughty i dont recognise my next door neighbour if she's not next door nor anyone driving a car even my sister (can get one into trouble believe me )

hmmm probably not the best way to get a book signed when i get one written by Jim but remember its chesters1 after all

Tried flogging 'Modern Specimen Hunting' by Jim Gibbinson on E-Bay, didn't get a single bid! We'll have to highten his profile amongst today's young anglers, might push the price up!! Perhaps if I ask Jim to sign it !

 

Now, Steve Burke's book goes for a bomb!

got 70 squid for my book of the perch (cost with 5 other good books £5)a bit peeved though a scruffy one got £113 but profits profit ,holding back on my barbel book
