Thai Americans call for the computer hacker to be extradited to Their country and the British arrange it with alacrity!

We have our WONDERFUL MP say that it has to be that way..... but, hang on a minute?

What happened when we wanted to extradite two of their soldiers to testify about a 'friendly fire' episode? The yanks said no - and that was that!!

Is there one law for them and one for us?

To ask that question you obviously haven't been keeping abreast of Anglo-American politics for the past 90 years or so then KB!

Anyway what's all this rubbish about international politics, don't you know that all anglers are in deepest mourning because some porcine carp's kicked the bucket because it's been poisoned by a load of irresponsible carp anglers?

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

I'm afraid I'm with KB on this one. Below is a link to a pdf with the charges laid against him in the US. The method that Gary McKinnon used to gain access would be blocked by any commercially available £40 ADSL router. That he was able to gain access to sensitive military networks using a perl script and commercially available remote access software just blows me away. It's the American sys admins that left the front door open, the back door open, all the windows open and took the roof off that should be standing trial.

I hope the ECHR tell our government and the US government to go and f**k themselves.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

The sensible course would be to sack the head honcho and his system protection team, and offer Mr McKinnon a well-paid post as consultant to the replacement team. Surely the guy has done the USA security service a favour !

That would make sense, he obviously seems to know more about their system then they did.
