I work in TV, planning and buying ad campaigns and I think there is one simple answer: Living TV thought of it first! Had a terrestrial station done it they would be delighted with it by now. I'm glad they didn't to be honest, as it would have probably been ITV, and they would have filled it with guest celebs like Cheryl Baker and Jeremy Beadle and we would have spent all our time voting them off and listening to Divina MacCall or Vernon Kaye wax lyrical instead of being entertained by things that go bump in the night!

living tv didnt think of it, though they wish they had! it was antix the production company (run by karl and yvette from the show) who came up with the idea
