Wasps Nest.

Anyone know how to deal with one of the above, does the council still deal with them. Sent one of the kids out to the shed to get me something, next minute screaming etc, theres one in the roof of the shed, I was going to take a blow torch to it, but I'm worried that the Fire Brigade might not be too pleased. :(

The local council will charge you a fortune..Go to B&Q. A tub of wasp nest killer for a few quid..Follow the instructions on pack ..All the little wasps will be dead within 24hrs..Only thing is it is now 7.45pm and B&q close at 8.00pm so its the blow torch and the fire brigade..Good Luck

Norrie , That stuff from B&Q is ok but you need to get it into the nest, If you have a long

hollow stiff tube {top section of pole } stick

one end in the nest and squirt, last thing at

night when there all in. I had one in the loft

a few years back and i just did the outside

killed a lot of the bu@@ers but ended up paying

£25 for an exterminator {no it wasn't Arnie].

Go in at night when the buggers are dormant. Envelop the whole nest with the bin bag. Wrap some tape round the top of the bag, sealing in the nest. Break the whole thing off. Dispose of at your leisure. Stomp around professing what a man you are. Simple.

go in the shed .close the door and hit it with a stick ,wasp nest gone and several days in a comfy hospital bed to think up a revenge on me for suggesting it,the powder mentioned is NOT meant for hanging nests but is safe from the outside if a entrance can be found

you obviasly didnt take my hint of a few weeks ago to hunt down the queens chewing wood :P

Close and seal the shed, make a fire outside, put green wood or leaves on it, to make it smokey, pump the smoke into the shed. Leave for 6 months, if they are still there blowtorch the shed! :D:D:D
