the super cheapo fox ones are better than anything else for the money.

 

cant argue with people who say you shouldnt sleep while river fishing, its one thing on a carp lake, its another on a river.

I will only be using it on ocasions once a week mabey.

I'd strongly recommend the Fox Micron M's. Mine have been soaked, covered in ice and generally been knocked about yet I have never had a problem with them what-so-ever, all for around £20 each, one of the true tackle bargains in my book.

Beware, believe it or not, some alarms are NOT waterproof.

The cheapest you'll find them anywhere is between £20 - 22. Just put in a search for micron m and you'll get loads of returns, mostly from tackle shops who sell online too

I have two very basic Shakespeare alarms that I use for both pike and bream, four years old now and seemingly good for years to come. They do everything that I would expect of an alarm, except impress the tackle tarts!

there the alarms I was going to get casey but most people said fox lol.

 

Think I will be goodfishing alarm and see what goes from there :D
