Your Seas Your Voice

www.YourSeasYourVoice.com is a new web based

campaign to give a voice to people who want Britain's

seas and marine life protected, run by the Marine

Conservation Society (MCS), who have started the ball

rolling by recommending 73 sites around the coast that

they would like to see protected.

It is very important that all anglers visit the site and either

vote for MCS’s sites or nominate new sites of their own.

The website is highly interactive with lots of information

about why Britain's seas need protection, how marine

reserves might work and what makes MCS's 73 'jewel in

the crown' sites so special. It is important that enough

people vote to protect sites from commercial trawling and

dredging, and that we indicate that recreational angling

should be allowed to continue in all but the most

sensitive of areas.

Part of the A T news letter. Clearly they have been duped into thinking that the mcs will acheive something. Again most of their jewels are rocky out crops, sea caves and rough ground that is unaffected by trawling and dredging, the two just do not go together. The mcs are after ntz's. The mcs are looking to retrict angling. It is very important that the rsa be very careful when responding on the site as you will unwittingly vote yourself into restrictions, do you really want that?

This is why the A T are wrong, they are miles apart from the facts. Why you no listen.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

It's worse than that, Barry. What the AT have done by supporting the MCS and asking their members to do so by visiting their website, is as good as asking Turkeys to vote for Christmas. As with the fish removal byelaws, I would like to to hear from the AT who, exactly, they consulted about MCZ's - and who told them to support the MCS. I would imagine it would have been the usual suspects, or suspect, but it would be good if the Angling Trust were up front about these things and came out and told us.

The AT is supposed to be there for the good of angling, but so far they have come across as being just another eco warrior driven environmentalist group. If they carry on as they are, they'll be the death of angling as we know it.

I am aware of the implication Steve. The MCS have an agenda and it don't include the angler. This is what the A T are blind and have failed to see, unless the A T have a secret agenda that don't favour the rsa. Excluding the rsa regarding the eel debarcle was bad, this will be many times worse, as you intimate. Not good for angling at all.

Like i have said, just who are the anarchists.

I certainly believe that there are those within the Angling Trust who have a different agenda that doesn't favour sea angling.

i notice on their forum, that one of the bigwigs claimed (wrongly) that they had been "forced" to take the course of action they did, (regarding the eel) by the E.U.

It took Wayne just a few moments to show it up as a lie.....(sorry, i meant a misunderstanding). :)

There seems to be an abundance of misunderstanders within the Angling Trust.

Mis-understanding or has something gone abundantly wrong since this quote from last year? Practice what you preach?

Many Angling Trust members and the RSA sector in general have repeatedly complained to the Trust about more and more restrictions on their freedom to go angling. One of the Angling Trust’s fundamental aims is to oppose any unwarranted restrictions on angling.
