lots of companies got into the fishing lark ,i have a marks and sparks booklet somewhere

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Mathew 4:19

Grangers law : anything i say will  turn out the opposite or not happen at all!

"To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical." Thomas Jefferson

Ah now I had one of these in the mists of time long ago as a nipper, think it might still be in the loft at my parents home together with all my bubble gum football cards of players as fresh faced yoofs before they became overweight middle aged managers and old Jamboree bags with a cheap sticky toffee in em.

Ooooooooh they were the days life was less complicated. :D

Well ! you gonna go fishing or whistle Dixie.

Oh yes, glorious days gone by when the Summer lasted more than two weeks and Winfield ( the Woolworth's fishing brand ) was one of the few companies out there. In fact, compared with what was available at the time some of their rods weren't that bad !

My mackerel feathering bait reel is a Winfield Nautilus 30 (Penn copy) Over 30 years old now and I've never done a thing to it except clean and lube it and convert it to left-hand wind............oh, I also put Mitchell drag discs in as they work better than the original plastic ones

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Im a big collecter of Winfield gear. Not only was it way ahead of its time but a wider range of specialist tackle than many "dedicated" fishing companies. In fact Ive got three of their "International" boat multipliers sat in front of me now a 50,30 and 20 all in imaculate condition despite their age and heavy use.

Never new M&S did a range of gear though? Be interested in seeing some pics of their guide if possible?

NB.You really dont know how hard it was for me to post a sensible reply and not go off on a spoof M&S fishing rod advert!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
