Sounds like a fine idea to me. My best mates little brother died when he was only 6 years old because of a fascination with conkers. He fell out of a tree on to the A82 and was hit by a car after he fell from the tree. His mum never got over it.

ive got a huge bruise and lump on my leg after having a game of conkers with my mate the other night, i swung it to hit his conker and well, you know the rest. where's the HSE when you need em!
