Martin Salter MP

Dear Tim,

I think that Mr Salter reads posts on AN from time to time so your comment concerning his answering emails might just be noticed.

I rather think he may just respond to one email coming shortly from over 25 million anglers concerning Cormorants. And if not, well we'll just send it to his boss.

Regards,

Lee Fletcher RSSG General Secretary.

Hope you're right, but don't hold your breath. He didn't appear remotely interested in the Lake District livebait debacle.

Don't forget he is an MP. A job for life, easy money and all for talking without action. He will only get involved if a problem directly concerns himself or the Prime Minister, Tony (or should that read Cherie).

If you want to contact an MP, you are better off using post or fax. Try:

I've used it and it works

I think I've said this before  Martin Salter is my MP (Reading West) although I've no expereince of him answering e-mails he has responded very promptly whenever I've written to him. He IS genuinely a keen angler and I spent half an hour chatting to him on the banks of the Kennet at the back end of last season.

Try dropping him a letter or a fax (and cc-ing your local rag - works for me!!)

is that 25 mil "different" anglers or 1 angler sending the lot if it is different anglers that means theres 22mil without licencies ,that should stir some gov dept into action

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

And all this because you asked for some help eh Leon??

Why not try poking a sharp stick in a hornets nest next time!! You may be surprised at the reaction.

WOT!! no report??

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
