Polarised Glasses

I've got the Optilabs glasses and they really are excellent - I don't see how they could be bettered and they're cheaper than the high street opticians if you need prescription glasses.

However....

SpecSavers is currently offering (until 6th July)a free pair of prescription polarised sunglasses if you buy an ordinary pair costing £85 or more. So if you're looking for a new pair of regular glasses anyway this may be a good way to get a cheap pair for fishing.

Personally I'd still pay the extra and get the Optilabs ones - may even be worth asking them about the ordinary glasses as well!

I don't like clip-on's very much but have found some nice sunglasses designed to fit on over regular glasses. BassPro has them for around $10 and they work well.

I have tried several times looking at underwater items with them on and then removing them. Can't see nearly as well without them.

Phone - I haven't tried them at night but you probably have a valid point that they won't work quite as well. Shame too.

One thing of note - Optilabs will make ordinary lenses for any frames I think so you can get old glasses updated. It may be they'll do this for polarised lenses as well - I don't know. If they do then that could be a very cheap way to go about it.

Try yellow tinted polaroids at first light or on dull days. They seem to improve the colour and the light.I always take yellow and black when i go fishing.GIVE IT A TRY.
