If a more acceptable leader was to come forward foR the Tories, if the Tories were to adopt a Charter for Hunting and Shooting, if the Tories could drop the phrase 'The Truth of the Matter is - - - - ' just prior to being economical with the truth, then maybe I could be drawn back into their fold. Maybe greed and sleeze was the way forward after all :D:rolleyes: !!!!!

I reckon that their present leader, old what's his name, is the key to Labour's re-election chances!!

Labour were 14/1 on (1/14) as opposed to the Tories at 6/1 against a couple of days ago. Anyone who thinks Labour won't be re-elected is living in a dream world! The polls can pontificate all they like, the bookies are never wrong.

Me? Voted Labour all my life but not this time. I'm spoiling my ballot. Not one of the shysters is worth a vote! And it's a sad day indeed when a party's position on angling is what drives a person's vote. I love my fishing as much as the next man but there are vastly more important issues in life!

'Angling IS the meaning of life Slodger'

Yeh? Try telling that to some poor b*****d who's dying for want of an operation. Or some poor pensioner that's nursing a broken arm after being mugged for ten bob! Grow up Peter!

Dear Slodger,

You said;

"Me? Voted Labour all my life but not this time."

There's a vast army of similar people like you out there Slodger that say exactly the same thing. I voted labour all my life. Blairs got more chance of being Queen of England than he has of getting my vote.

"Anyone who thinks Labour won't be re-elected is living in a dream world!"

Well, all its going to take to swing it is if enough people like you and me think the same? Up to date polls already indicate labours marginals are in big trouble.

"Angling IS the meaning of life Slodger"

It actually "IS" the meaning of life to some angling politicos Slodger. Not Peter, hes just trying to wind you up. Or himself. I frequently cant fathom whether its one or the other?

The seeds have been sewn and attempts have been made at influencing where angling should place its X. Not me. I don't like being railroaded into being influenced who to vote for by using clever under handed propaganda. In fact, I'd have a bet with the bookies that such a move will push the angling vote the other way? If Blairs mob haven't already lost it long ago anyway over far more important issues like "wheres the weapons Tone?" Were our forces taken to war over the truth??

How long will it be before members in FACT orgs begin to have a proportion of their subs donated to the labour party? Seeing as the FACT honchos have already started to draft labours charter documents!!

Bloomin heck. What if labour actually loose the election???

Will Peter Waller emigrate to far far away if they don't win?

There will certainly be no hiding place from me if they do loose!!

The seed is sewn. Now reap the whirlwind.

Regards,

Lee.

Just to counter some of the wilder statements on here....I shall vote Labour as I am very happy with their performance on the economy and NHS.

Even helped Bush to stabilise the middle east, as no doubt the future will give them credit for.

Slodger, I grew up a long time ago!

There are the nescessities of life, things that should be reasonable rights in this day and age. Rights such as the right to a home, the right to a job, the right to health, the right to an adequate income, the right to an education, the rights of the various freedoms, the right to be respected, the right to be free from crime, the right to justice and fairness, the right to expect help when its needed and fair. Reasonable Socialist dogma! Those who are able should help those who need help.

Then there is meaning the meaning of life!
