Perhaps, once you have read the document, some of you may start to appreciate why some of us support Martin, regardless of his political allegiance or the party he votes for.

Surprisingly in a democracy the government can deliver a lot of what angling needs and wants, somehow I don't see my old allies amongst the Conservatives doing the same.

This document was, for a large part, written by those in FACT, who apparently cannot get on together. For organisations, which do not get on together, they seem to have a very joined up view!

No doubt the document will now proceed to be dissected by those who have an axe to grind. It does not contain all that we wanted but it goes a long way down the road for us as anglers.

The content offered to New Labour has also been offered to the other main parties, with no response to date.

In announcing this bout I should like to introduce the audience to the contestants......

In the red corner.............PW

In the blue corner.............LF

Touch gloves and come out fighting!!! :):):)

No fight on this one Mike, can't fight Lee, you know that, we have no alternative but to agree with him !

I'm fully in agreement with what Martin and your goodself has already said on the subject. Good one.

Come on Lee, I'm itching to read your responses so I can ignore your leading questions !

I would have been more impressed if it had been written by the Labour Government.

I am no Labour supporter, but I am impressed that they seem to have listened to what the experts have to say, rather than force their own half-baked opinions down our throats.

Less impressed at the way the the press release is 'puffed' for party political benefit

So this was written in part by FACT ?

...and it praises the setting up of...FACT !

...whilst deploring those nasty hunt people who are trying to use poor misguided anglers for their own hunting agenda... ho hum.

Sounds like a party political broadcast.

All taters and no meat!

Our perception of time as an orderly sequence of regular ticks and tocks has no relevance here in the alternative dimension that is fishing....... C.Yates

It is impressive reading, and looks good for the future of Angling in this Country, As an angler it would get my vote, is it enough though, to warrant a vote for Labour in the next Election? I am undecided.

I am a match angler .....not an anti-Christ!!!]
