i kinda hate the show but i really hate him. All he does is moan and shout and scream and act like a spoilt brat even though he gets to fish in some of the most amazing places in the world. Also, do you remember the squid fishing episode where he thought he got some ink in his eye and he got quite nasty very quickly. I think that was he true colours shining through.

 

Cant help but watch it though, but only for the fish!

correct me if im wrong but he's not even what you would class as a proper angler like the majority of us on anglers net ?

 

watched a little bit of the first series when they shot the moorhen and spearing for carp, that was just plenty for me and will never watch him again. ill wit until someone with some angling credibility comes on the tv but for now its matt hayes on quest

Absolutly superb entertainment, those of who don't like it don't watch, me i can't stand soaps, corrie, benders emerdale etc, i don't watch them, bothered not in the least.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.


New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

He, in his own words doesnt set himself up as an 'expert'...leave him alone, he isn't billed as a 'proper angler' (however you define that!)as someone here has said you know what it's like/about and if it's not to your taste, then leave it alone.

he may have his faults, but lay off the self satisfied stuff, or does that make you feel like a proper angler?.

Recorded the series on Sky HD.

 

Just watched the first one. He does seem to have calmed down from the early series, not a 10th of the swearing.

 

He does explain quite abit about his location and mixes with the locals well.

 

The fishing is not over empowering the show, its like a byproducts from his visit.

 

So its a holiday program with some fishing chucked in, which makes it mainstream, which has got to be good.

 

He's still a TW@ and no i would not like to take a fishing holiday with him....well unless he's paying

and i get a seperate room and i volenteer to film his anctics from the second boat and for the zoom in long shots :D
