I expect most of us have, at one time or another, engaged in a bit of "piracy" and in so doing deprived some huge mega-corporation of a small fraction of their enormous profits. And done so with a relatively clear conscience.

I think it's a shame though, when it's Chris Yates and Hugh Miles that are being ripped off. I don't know of any angler who doesn't think that "Passion for Angling" is the best portrayal of the sport ever to have been screened and "Caught in Time" is from the same stable. I wonder how many "fans" have pirated copies?

I thought it was rare/unavailable.....................

is a passion the best film ,not so sure .would it have the same effect on young anglers or just those that perhaps saw their own past in it?

I suspect in many cases, my own included, it was more the past we wish we could have had rather than the one we actually did have.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

One of the reasons that APFA appealed to so many people was that it contrasted the different approaches of Chris Yates (vintage, tweedy, beardy) and Bob James (modern, tweedy, beardy).

So it wasn't all about misty-eyed nostalgia.
