Having spent the last few hours trying unsuccessfully to band the pellets I will follow the majority here and nip off for some Sonubaits. Thanks people :clap: Top answers as usual

No idea if it works but you could do like what i do with meat and just sit it on a bait box lid for half an hour out in the sun to 'crisp' up the skin for better hooking, works a treat for small cubes of meat

You guys ever use a spot of superglue?

 

On the inside of the shank as near the "j" as practical.

My first question to you is what method are you fishing with? Waggler, pole, feeder etc.

My second question is are these ready to use pellets or expanders?

 

For any type of general ledgering with pellets (unless targeting big carp) I use either sonubaits S pellets, sonubaits F1 (dried out for a bit) or sonubaits predrilled pellets on a hair rig with a korum quick stop.

Even then baits sometimes get sucked off the rig with no indication.

 

On the waggler I again use the same pellets as above but also try banded hard pellets or Jelly pellets.

 

On the pole I tend to stick to expander pellets (I sometimes soak them in water with gelatine to make jelly pellets) and have found ringers original or ringers green to work very well.

 

I am waiting for some markyu JPZ pellets which are supposed to be the dogs (but then again wasnt every other bait at some time?)

While gigging up Sonubaits, has anyone tried there F1 Groundbait. I don't believe in magic killer baits but this is the closest thing I have found to the perfect groundbait. Unfortuantly to expensive to be used for Breaming when you want to use a lot. But if you only want to use a little bit up to 2 kilos it is awesome stuff :thumbs:

I havent used that variant dales but I always use the exploding fishmeal one on the river and it is very good. Best I have come across for the swim feeder on the river so far.

Yeah I have heard good things about that one also, I don't generaly fall for jumping on new bait ranges but alot of the stuff coming out of Sonubaits recently has been very good.

Same here I prefer to just try them out for myself as and when I need to and if I am impressed then I will happily pass on the recommendation and if not then I will also let that be known lol. I would agree that they do seem to have a solid range of baits out at the moment.I cant fault it yet anyway.

I have been using F1 supercrush all season and on mixed fisheries it is outstanding.

Caught a good few fish using the F1 soft hooker pellet but for some reason catch more on the ringers 6mm expanders.
