Christmas List

A good one for the angler that already has everything is a bait package. http://fishingbaits.biz has one that i've asked my wife to look at http://fishingbaits.biz/special-offers.html

The bait in that bucket comes to £22.93 if bought seperately, so the bucket is rather expensive. Better buy the bait and get the bucket elsewhere <_<

It's about that time when the other half asks that question

What are the wants of the forum, given a small budget (under £100). From hooks to rods, for the big one under the tree to small ones for the stocking filler

No dodgy calenders or mags please ;)

As for me I realy want to get a new corf and I might be happy if I'll get a few sets of Gamakatsu hooks.

I've been looking at hand warmers. Disposable ones look a bit crap but the proper zippo and peacock ones look a bit dear.

Then I saw this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GELERT-POCKET-HA...=item1e68c8a636

Anybody know if they're any good? They're a lot cheaper and look ok... but i'm hesitant to buy it. There must be a reason it's twenty quid cheaper than the peacock and zippo ones :g:

Erm...wotnotbivy, I think if you add it up, you'll get £33.93 for the bait only.

EFG130 £6.99

EFG121 £3.99

EFG100 £3.99

SDP2006 £3.99

SDP2101 £3.99

SDP2210 £3.99

AFP300 £6.99

Total for the bait £33.93

I then did a google search for the price of the flexible bucket and got £6.58

That adds up to £40.51 which is there or there abouts with what they say on the site. At their discounted price of £29.99 I thought it was a bargain Christmas present. You did make me panic a little though as I'd told my wife to order one!

These are the pages I looked at to get my figures????????

http://fishingbaits.biz/special-offers/Mar...et-Deal_59.html (flicking through the products got me to the actual bait prices)

Jeez, I must have OCD or something....looking forward to unwrapping it. :-)

I really can't recommend the peacock handwarmers enough: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Peacock-Fuel-Hand-...6914&sr=8-1

Thanks to Elton singing their praises, I got one for last winter, and it was one of those 'why have I struggled for years without this?' moments. The ability to warm your hands up instantly at any point on those cold days is fantastic - especially after you've got them wet with icy water when returning fish, making mashed bread, etc.

A m8 of mine got these a week or two back (they where £14.99 then so they,ve gone up a bit now) and he reckons they're spot on.

The petrol ones are well worth the extra; I have a couple now and I did used to have a charcoal burner, the biggest problem I've found with the charcoal ones is keeping them alight - they're warm when they work but unreliable imo.

Put the petrol jobbies on your xmas list.

Another little gadget which I've found very useful. Just remember that it counts in feet so you have to multiply by three to get yards. It caught me out once, off I went with a 'pin freshly loaded with sixty feet of line
