Arn't the orange fin's a sign of a hybrid ? Actually (just looked at a few pic's) I think they do have an orange tinge to the fins so it could well be one.

Cheers guys. Hopefully Mark Wintle will see this and comment. If it is a true silver I think it's probably a PB! It was a gorgeous looking fish with a lovely silvery, bluey sheen.

I had a real mixed bag today. A few nice roach up to 12oz in spanking condition, the (hopefully silver) bream, a Rudd, and strangest of all TWO brown trout! Both times I thought I was connected to the mother of all roach. It's good to see the brownies in the Thames, a very positive sign indeed.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

With transparent fins, i would say it looks like well do on a new PB.

Only just seen that - it has all the characteristics of a silver.

Bluish sheen, orange lower fins and the bright mirror-like appearance of the scales.

The transverse lateral count from dorsal fin to lateral line is about 10 or 11 - consistent with silver (bronze have 11 to 15)

One very obvious feature that doesn't show up in photos is the lack of slime (they are not much more slimy than a dace) although only those who actually catch them will know about it.
