French to increase bass MLS?

Elton

I understand that the French Government plan on setting their MLS at 42 CM sometime very soon. Its a huge step in the right direction and great news for all involved . There are also rumours of Bag limits for recreational anglers and most importantly they are looking very hard at the Winter Pair trawling fishery and a potential Bass closed season.

ha ha ha, thats gonna leave egg on the face of an ifca or two. In particular the one that supports the mucus membrane argument.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Yes very intresting quote

'We all know that the current 36 cm Minimum Landing size(MLS) on European Bass set by the EU fisheries committee is set too low. It defies nature and logic. I understand that the French Government plan on setting their MLS at 42 CM sometime very soon. Its a huge step in the right direction and great news for all involved . There are also rumours of Bag limits for recreational anglers and most importantly they are looking very hard at the Winter Pair trawling fishery and a potential Bass closed season.'

Shame on you for supporting all head and guts, no flesh plate sized bass. while ignoring your rsa who voted for an increase. Hopefully the french are going to make you and derrimans ifca look like a bunch of dinosaur's. No need to shout to support your err argument. Looks like the ifca's are gonna have to re look at it sometime soon even though the ink is still wet on the paper otherwise they are gonna be left behind.

I raised the subject of the bass mls with Benyon on Tuesday, something he promised to look into.

Oh! and Bob, He also suggested another Angling Summit, perhaps in the Autumn.

Oh Barry why don’t you follow the leads offered, Cornwall will, following my pointing it out, look at making an amendment to the MLS if and when conditions change making it a valid way forward. What will have to be taken into account is the French have not yet changed their view re the Bass effort in the channel and mesh sizes may also need to be changed.

Good news about another summit Leon, though I would still like to see one solely for sea angling and it would have been better to have it as an annual event.

No, you and your ifca have only just voted on no increase in the mls. You commented that Mr Derriman had rubbished Bass's application, you commented after leaving the ifca meeting that quote; 'we won'. What exactly did you win.

the ifca following the french lead will have to about turn. You as an rsa rep will have to do the same. How about leading as opposed to rear guard management for a change.
