If I can't get crucian carp, will goldfish do? ;)

yes if you can not get crucuan then alternative carps will do

gibel carp is a fine alternate fish and even looks like and is so close to crucian it is hard to tell difference

my concerns with goldfish is the cost and how to source the fish, it would not feel good to buy them from the pet shop

That's kinda "half cooked" pyrogy. Traditionally they are baked in the oven or deep fried after being boiled.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

You're obsessed with the rimming! How appropriate was the name "Rimmer" for the hologrammatic chap in Red Dwarf, BTW?

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
