Fish on an angle

Koi,

I don't think it does. It's not uncommon to see my aquarium fish, cold or tropical, leaning over slightly when at rest.

To be honest, it happens on a regular basis to fish I've had for years & which appear perfectly normal otherwise.

So I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Peter.

dropsy

Check to see if the scales are proud of the fish, almost looks like they are at right angles to the body, if so then Chesters could be right.

talking about dropsy we used to have a fantail goldfish in a tank with pond fish (ex funfair prize) it faired well but started as noted "listing " to one side with extended scales and bloated stomach etc ,rather than putting it down the toilet we seperated it from the others and kept an eye on it in a unfurnished quarantine tank after a week we noticed that despite feeding it haddnt had a cr*p in this time so we put a fairly lage dose of epsom salts in the water the next morning the fish was alive and had a foot long "friend" it wasnt dropsy it was constipation :D but the symptoms were the same :D
