of course the taxation system isnt fair and was never intened to be. It is a question of suppression. Ask yourself why you need to pay a proportion of your earnings to be given assistance for the cause you paid it in the first place

Hi all

heah ive seen all this bull on tv but at least they are trying to give for a change even though its slow which is just like the benefits system you can expect worse from diffrent areas u live like say(KENT)they take the total f****** p*** they left me over 4 months before telling me that my housing benifits had been changed leaving me F***** as i ended up in over £1000 debt to my landlord

and if you are not continual in your persuit to get your money they try and screw you any chance they get and yep i get benefits so what!!!?(stuart, yoxer)ive been signed off due to unknown bowel problems and mental health they called it IBS but after i threatend to sue my gp

then all went silent, some of my docs notes vanished and now i have lost faith in nhs(who hasnt) and spend most days from dawn to dusk in certain levels of pain which feels like being cut from the inside and the mental stuff well,x girls, stress, atemptimg to top myself more times than you can count on both hands blar

blar.

so im tryng to get on with my life for the sake of my two girls.

and yep i feel like sh** for being on benifits so if some people think that im a scrounger then each to there own but anyone whos has no need to get benifits tax credits or whatever what are you bothering reading this for.

I think what Stuart's trying to say is that instead of going out & trying to earn a living we should just stay on the dole untill a job that pays well comes along.

That way we don't put anything into the system at all & get everything paid for us, like the council tax, rent/mortgage, baby food/milk, medicines & all the other stuff we now have to pay for.

Hmmm i can see his point, why should we go out & work ourselves stupid for a low wage which is topped up by tax credits so we can pay tax, national insurance contibutions, the rent/mortgage, council tax, prescription charges, baby food/milk etc etc etc when we could be sat on the bank all day long & get paid for doing nothing other than fishing?

Billy

How do you manage to control yourself with all the excitment you must get at facing yet another boring day being out of work & ill??

I bet you relish every morning don't you, i mean could you imagine seeing some excellent bit of fishing tackle but have to face the fact whilst you're out of work you'll never be able to afford it sheesh that must be a massive lift for you eh mate.

<edit>

This plonker has got it wrong again, the money going into Dians account is the child benefit not tax credits!

has anyone got any idea what the percentage of people in this country receive some form of benifit ?

I would guess at over 60%, but it's only a guess. It might be more!!

The ever creeping paralysis of socialism means that it is almost impossible to exist without filling in a form to claim something, even if you are in business.

It's the way that the control freaks are taking over.

hi all

hi alan well i must admit it every morning is spent sleeping in NOT!!!(with two kds i think not)and yep i often see stuff that i cannot aford but be it fishing tackle or other such goodys i have got used to it :(

but make no mistake waking up everyday to the same old thing is VERY boaring i have taught myself pc construction and home diy :D (pc knowledge learnt from chester(well some )

oh i have not fished for over maybe 10yrs i think so tackle hunting is purely chesters area.

i worked from the day i left school so it was a shock being told that i was excluded from employment untill further notice and signed off permanently that was 5yrs ago

i miss fishing for carp and beating chesters at pike fishing those were days

Alan I'm not trying to say that everyone should sponge off the taxpayer, I'm simply trying to find out why one particular group, parents, think they should be able to sponge off the taxpayer. Wether I have children or not is irrelvant, I don't decide wether a thing is right or wrong depending on wether I benefit or not.Billy if you are too ill to work then you should be able to receive benefits, if somebody loses thier job they should get support until they can get another, that's what I hope my tax money goes for.

A simple question can any parent, who chose to have children either by choice or incompetence, justify to me why my or anyones tax money should be given to them to support thier children?

Stuart, my wages have been deducted so that the government can then pay back an equivalent amount to my family, to ensure that they get it. I don't have a problem with that, or at least I didn't, until I realised that I haven't received the promised (equivalent) amount back.

So tell me, in what way do you support my children?

And, why shouldn't I be a little aggreived that my £100 per month deduction hasn't been forthcoming in the way of the Child Tax Credit?

My family are £100 per month down, not me.
