XC 90

Have just been to look at the new Volvo XC 90 AWD.

Looks a serious fishing motor to me, so I'm thinking of trading in my V70 AWD for one. Fourteen month waiting list though :(

Vagabond,

I think the first reply was in humour :D

I should pick up my 2nd hand Subaru Legacy Estate soon. That's AWD, too :)

Tight lines,

Good on you, but count me as one angler green with envy!

Just make sure you get a towbar though. Then you can tow my boat to the Coarse Lake at Wingham when my 2 wheel drive Volvo is stuck in the mud! :D

Excalibur:

Before the mods get to this, the previous reply was supposed to be humorous, not malicious! Wouldn't we all have one if we could afford them ? :D

No offence taken - but I'm not sure I can afford one either.

I must calculate how much cash I've saved in a lifetime of never buying pop records :P:P , never buying designer clothes, not buying new shoes until I can see the soles of my feet through the old ones, carp fishing without a bivvy, using a couple of wooden strods instead of stainless steel rod pods,(For Newt - strods = what American anglers call "idlebacks"), mixing dried coltsfoot leaves with my baccy, and until now, always buying a second-hand car and running it into the ground.

Cutting my own hair for 30 years saved enough to pay for my recent trip to Oz - I wonder if I can justify an XC 90 AWD ???
