Ebay - Should I Post Negative Feedback?

I was bidding on a book on E-bay which finished yesterday. The last time I checked up on it I was still winning as I was the only bidder. Unfortunately though, I was not able to be at the PC when the auction ended and subsequently lost out to a late bidder. A couple of hours later I received an E-mail telling me that the winning bidder was unable to complete and that I could have the book at my previous highest bid. I have bought the book but what has annoyed me was that, according to the view counter, I was the only person to look at the book. Insider dealing????? I'm tempted to post negative feedback when the book arrives, what do you think?

sounds fishy to me, unless you can prove it, amybe not worth causing trouble though, they may leave you revenge feedback, of course if they've already left you good feedback do what you like

On the basis of what you know so far I don't believe it merits negative feedback. It may just be that the counter didn't register. Presumably it would have automatically registered when the late bid was made?

However I reckon that you ought to see what eBay have to say about it. If there is something untoward going on the seller will be suspended or even thrown out by eBay.

In the meantime I wouldn't leave any feedback at all. By the time you receive the book and need to leave feedback you'll hopefully have an answer anyway.

Sorry people, I think that I might have put my gob into gear before my brain. Looking again at it, this is a new view of the item which has appeared after I have bought it. It seems that there were 33 views of the original. Sorry peeps.:rolleyes:

This was what I looked at: what a plonker!

Looking back through the stuff the other guy is buying it all seems to fit? Both have good feedback records and the bid is ok. He has actually bid over you by a bigger margin than his bid has shown too. I would have thought £8+.

But I would say that there is nothing wrong if you got the book for your original bid (£4.99) and not the bid of £7.12!! Because if he is offering the book at your bid your actual bid was only £4.99 the start price!! If he is asking for £7.12 then I would certainly report him to e-bay and would put him on my blacklist!! if I did go with the purchase at £4.99 I would leave feedback after he had!! And at £7.12 I would not bother at all as I think like yourself it is a bit suspicious.

How much do you want the book?? Wait and see if he re-lists!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??
