It will suit me fine. When I get sent down for no rod licence (see Licence posts on other Forums)I'll only do one weekend in my local open prison. In Friday, Out Monday, Fishing by 10.30am :D

Sorry if that sounds a bit friv on human rights...it's not but it's getting that way.

its been part time for yonks ,remember that author chappie had a cushie job in a theater ,drove his own car and went to plush resturants ,if thats prison lock me up :mad:

i thought of going to france for the day then coming back without my passport, speak with a foreign " me no understand english" accent, ask for asylum, and a nice house, loads of money, spout loads of racist remarks about "you bloody english infidels" then become a criminal, it will beat working for a living. :D

I was watching the news on TV the other day when they showed pictures of the new 'weekend jail cells'. I'm sorry, but I really couldn't tell the difference between that and a lot of the hotels I have stayed at. I always thought that prison was supposed to be a deterrent?? :mad: :mad: :mad:

IF a prison is a prison then I think it is a good idea.

 

You get prisoners that are coming to the end of there sentence and are allowed home for the weekend.

 

You get people with jobs etc that although they have broken the law a full time prison sentence would do more harm than good to the comunity/family or even a business that he/she is employing people in so a weekend in the cell of a prisoner that is out for the weekend would be a solution.

 

Hotel type prisons are a NO NO.
