A few of you will remember Tony on here. He went by the name of Sandpipper.

 

I considered Tony a friend and it was a privilege to have known him.

 

Tony died at the weekend and my thoughts are with his wife and family at this time.

another member gone ,it makes me wonder how much time i have left :( my mum died at 59 ,dad at 64

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

 

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

 

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Whenever I try the wife's knickers on I end up a different size.

 

I can vaguely remember a Sandpipper (or was it Sandpiper, and maybe based in Southampton? - not sure) but a search is not throwing up any posts made by those names.

 

And with a vague hope of getting this thread back on track, my condolences to his family.

I had thought it strange I had NOT heard from, Tony for a while and am now feeling just a little bit sadder to find he is not with us anymore?Tony kept in touch and when he was a his last flat he has ALL his sea kit nicked so I gave him mine! I was in France or going soon so had NO need of it at all. I could have sold it by getting up at silly o'clock to attend the local boot sale or given it away on Ebay, but then hear Toni's tale of woe!! BECAUSE he had decided to stick up for his Boys and the neighbours those same NEIGHBOURS?? GYPPOS as he said! Stole his boat and ALL his tackle. Si in SOME VERY small way I helped him. Next I know I am asking if anyone has a cheap 4x4 to sell as I am after one for my own reasons. Tony was onto me within an hour, Chris I have a Pajero I bought from a guy In Havant and my wife wants me to get rid. How much?? NOTHING to you as you helped me out when I needed it! I called on him on the way to France (He lived in Soton) and he indeed signed over the car at NO COST to himself or me!!

 

What a MAn what a HERO!!! TONY never think you are alone because you will ALWAYS be surrounded by GOOD people!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
