what would you do?

I would spend some time with the family/loved ones and also take a holiday. On the fishing front I would devote some time to one of those fishing projects that you always intend to do but never get around to for various reasons including not having enough time to give it a proper try. That may be a new venue, species, method or returning to a place you used to fish but for some reason just never visit anymore.

For me that would be chasing a mid double figure Zander from a venue I know does a few each year but is likely to include plenty of blank nights. I have bought the ticket to give it ago this winter and that starts on the 1st December but it may be some time in the new year before I get to go. If only I could find the time. This will be the second time I have got the ticket and first time around I failed. Just need to throw time and a few Roach at it :D

What ever you decide to do, make the most of the time and enjoy yourself.

Stephen

Rich, remember the question you asked about the local barbel? That river is dropping quickly - might be the perfect time to start that little project...? Even if the barbel prove tricky, there are decent chub to be had.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

A good time of year for monster roach using a lob in good old "Crabtree-esque" eddies!...or wait 'til the water drops off a little and try and beat your grayling pb!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Get a weather report and work round it IE Family/friends time, DIY, Xmas shopping, sorting out kit/rig tying and go fishing on the days when conditions suit venue/species targeted.

I once had a whole weeks fishing, spent a day on the pole / whip, a day on the feeder and waggler, a day on the beach and two (overnight stay) days carping.

By the end of the week I needed a days fishing to relax!!!
