Not sure what "Thursday" you are on about Barry....The "plane took off" at the beginning of 2012.....The coins have been here since then. :lol:

Peru was Spanish territory at the time Barry.

 

When the British give back all that they "plundered" from their empire....Then maybe they can comment.

 

You are obviously unaware as well, that in the battle that sank La Señora de la Mercedes, the English captured other treasure ships.......

 

.Have they handed the treasure back from those ships back to Peru??? :lol:

ahh right: 1528-–1529 – Pizarro returns to Spain where he is granted by the Queen of Spain the license to conquer Peru :)

 

dunno about the nasty british, the spanish were just as nasty and in this instance, two faced, ho ho :

 

Atahualpa was the last of the native lords of the mighty Inca Empire, which spanned parts of present-day Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia and Colombia. He had just defeated his brother Huascar in a violent civil war when Spanish conquistadors led by Francisco Pizarro arrived in the Andes. The unlucky Atahualpa was quickly captured by the Spanish and held for ransom. Although his ransom was paid, the Spanish killed him anyway,
