lennox has done the right thing retiring on top .

its a pity he never really caught the imagination of the british public ; may have something to do with his mockney accent which would have put dick van dyke to shame . but he was a worthy champion

The salary of the chief executive of a large corporation is not a market award for achievement. It is frequently in the nature of a warm personal gesture by the individual to himself.

Remember, he will always be known as the world champion, retired. Not like some of the others known as former world champions. And he always INSISTS he is British!

If he had fought a beaten Riddick Bowe he would have been the best of the best for me and many others, though it wasn't Lewis's fault.

I watched a piece about it on the news, it brought back good memories of seeing Lennox putting Tyson on the canvas. Now you don't see that very often!!!

the thing is with making comparisons between fighters ; it is very rare to get two fighters both at the peak of there powers . i personally think ali would have struggled against lewis due to the fact that lewis would have been a giant compared to ali . lewis also beat the two men who ever beat him which shows a strength of conviction . compare that to prince naseem hamed . perhaps if lewis had fought more in britain as well would have helped , plus he beat bruno which was the equivalent of bugner beating cooper . i just hope that the heavyweight scene manages to get one true champion .
