91. is a good'un :

At first I was trying to find a way to fit Scarborough into just 7 letters - dung beetles also being called Scarabs...

...then I found out that European one's are also called Dor beetles, the reigning one obviously would be a King Dor beetle, or the Dorking (Surrey)

Cheers,

Adz.

Back home from work and this b***** quiz is annoying me.

Still - number 87. Bedford,

Canadian Prime Minister from 7 Aug 1930 - 23 Oct 1935 was Richard BEDFORD Bennett.

How many to go now? And Chris could you e-mail me all the clues. They would keep the Welsh going for centuries.

I hate cryptic clues, so am not too good at them but I'm thinking 24 may be Hucknall

Simply red, Mick Hucknall, not much of a star in my eyes, but some people like him.

Sultan - you have a private mail and well done on Bedford.

And ajp I think you're right never heard of Hucknall but just looked it up small town just north of Nottingham.

Been trying to follow up nursejudy's clue about Bob Ferris in the Likely Lads - can't find a reference to his middle name anywhere on the net. Have posted a request on a UK Comedy Bulletin Board - lets hope someone there knows... :D

Oh and there's a piece of furniture normally used to hold books and music known as a Canterbury - wonder if you can use it for plates & cutlery....

Doh - Was typing last post, in comes the missus - who is into antiques and is peering over shoulder says of course it's Canterbury - just got down one of her antiques reference guides to prove it. So 48 - Canterbury...
