I know, my ex, although she is French doesn't get it either. I remember a family dinner at the ex's house and one of the sisters-in-law made a typical anti-American remark. Well we have an American war Cemetry in Douvres, with about 10,000 dead Americans in it. After lunch Fanny proposed we all take all walk and she led us past the American Cemetry. Once we were there she tore a strip off her sister-in-law, but I must admit you hear the anti-America stuff less in Normandie than the rest of France, they fly more Stars and Bars than Tricolours in Normandie

Quite right too. On this issue you are with us or you are not. I don't hear him say thet he would "kill every one of us". I think Mr Farage would have us the next state in the Union if he had his way.

i read an interesting thing accidentally about the local ranges ,an american indian mixed type killed some woman living in the woods near here because he knocker her up ,he was hanged in 1942?.

strange some peoples outlook on helping out others ,anyway the poles never killed anyone in the woods but built an atlantic wall .there we go have a google

we should have a thread where you can research strange local stuff a sort of paperchase of google

I don't even know why you think it was aimed at us.

From what I read it seems NK has got no interest in the UK, just South Korea and the USA. Correct me if i'm wrong, but this seems like one of the few cases where we're not tarred with same brush as the yanks.

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."

What reason would North Korea have to bomb the UK?

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."
