Try again - much more common (although not necessarily everywhere).

 

I can tell you later if you still haven't got it - the pale stripe behind the eye is a good diagnostic.

Will try again,last night I was looking at lots of different pictures of chaffinches and siskins there are loads of slightly different ones !!!!! its going to take me ages to learn, xx

 

 

Female Reed bunting?

 

if its the female ,wonder if that means we may get to see little ones,is there anything special i should put out for them ?

Well, then it's a sparrow. (maybe?) I see NJ had already ask about the female.

 

It doesn't look like a sparrow. Aren't the toes to long - especially the middle one?

OK then - - - - before I go back and look I'm going to say it is an English House Sparrow. That should have been my first guess as I have no fewer than 1 bazillion of them skittering about right now.
