Been on for a while though and nobody's stumped up, it would've sold by now if it was going to. Maybe buyers are concerned that it's not originating from the UK Sorry globally racist statement.

LOL...I think you are right Chris, I reckon it would have sold if it had been in the UK. Funny enough I have one of those on order from Mr Lythe...i'm hopin' it'll be ready sometime this century LOL.

A well - intentioned post, I know, but be a bit wary of this listing - I've been in touch with the seller ... it's likely 'not' a proper 4" model - in his own words, the measurement is approximate. Also, it has been heavily polished to a high-shine finish, from the original typical dull aluminium one - and needs autosol after every use as iy goes black, apparently!

sometimes a reel on a foreign e-bay goes for less ,because they're from other country's and because centrepins arn't so revered ,but this one is overpriced but someone might give in to temptation and think what the hell ,saves waiting .its nice but no scotton long trotter .

Ever so slightly off topic, Philo, but I made the same mistake with an aluminium turntable platter which then needed polishing every couple of days. It's worth mentioning as a caveat to those who may be tempted to polish aluminium reels to a mirror finish - don't!!
