I sold TTT572 of my Ford Consul for £900 but

Worst was a "mate " who had a minicooper with the reg DAN ??? I offered him £250 (it was 1979 ish) but he wanted more, he them emigrated to SA and sold the car for scrap for £50 notes, So if UR out their Keith Leeves I still havent forgiven you! I'd always wanted a cooper too!

I often wonder if P155 OFF was ever released

 

The DVLA do hold back certain ones - I remember a newspaper article about them not releasing J1 HAD, so I assume they must hold back others.

i expect there are tens of combinations that ar`nt available especialy the anglo saxon and dutch naughty words varients pity the new number combinations spoil our fun (probably deliberatly)

I worked for DVLA a few years ago, originally the numbers were just provided from the computer and the local office witheld the offensive ones on their judgement, they then started to withold the beter ones incase they could be sold and now they actively look for the ones they can sell, fair enough I recon more money for the gov as well as the CT dealers.

 

A number of offensive ones slipped through the net, we used to change plates with 666 on if anyone asked.

One of our customers has L1BRA on her car,another has CLA55 and another has M1KES,which he is reputed to have paid £50,000 for

 

Chanel (the perfume people) have a black transit with the plate NO5

Hi all!

 

I knew of a bloke a few years ago who had the following number plate:-

 

PAN 51 E

And he was as well

 

It was on a MGB GT a very nice motor only trouble was it was a very pale shade of PINK!!

 

Almost forgot wifes car has the letters GUF nice eh!
