Not quite sure of your meaning

If you mean whats the best way to kill them then a quick blanch in boiling water works best. Putting them in the freezer for a couple of days doesnt always work as they can come round again from a suspended state when defrosted

For best results, kill your maggots individually. This way, the rest of the herd don't suspect whats happening and thus die without undue stress. That should stop the Antis getting on the case.

the archie braddocks gassing method is used for hook bait dead maggots and is a killer method in the winter.

I've used the gassing method, i bought my maggots on a friday afternoon for a Sunday match, put them in a little jar that use to have Horseradish in!! They take a while to snuff it though! I used them in my ground-bait last time round, semi successful but i think a combo of dead and alive would work best personally. Thats for groundbait anyway.
