I notice one or two iffy pictures getting the boot of late and wondered if it were possible for us to have a password protected forum for such 'fun' things.

I know you have to protect the general forums but a bit of adult fun for the majority of users wouldn't go a miss would it?

I moderate an adult password protected forum on another site and it works well.(when people can be bothered to post 'fun' stuff)

So all who agree with me shout now. :D:D

I was just off to bed :(

Lets go back to basics Dave, this is Anglers Net and the iffy pics should stay off IMO :)

I am on a few peoples mailing lists so if they have a good one that they want to share they send it to me. None of these are porno by the way :)

As I mentioned on another thread the mods are not on 24 hours a day so if I see anything that I think detracts from the standard of the site then I report it and it is dealt with in one way or another.

I think that Elton and his team have enough to do to keep this free site running as it is without going into the field of "iffy" stuff etc.

Sorry mate but that is just how "I" feel, does Sonja still get her post card :(

Oops, just noticed the topic was not addressed to us but to them who must be obeyed, stand by my thoughts though :)

You have an opinion so why not share it matey.

I'm not thinking of really 'iffy' stuff just that some quite tame stuff gets removed(tame in my eyes but maybe not in others)and it would be fun to see it in a 'private' forum sort of thing.

If they are stuck for a moderator to look after it I'd do it.

As you know I'm always about.

Oh and of course I'll still be sending a card.

I don't think we could ever fall out as we have a few things in common that we need to relate to now and again.

For one thing, it is not for the Moderators to make decisions like that. Elton owns this site, we only help on the forums.

Ferret, why don't you start your own forum and you can put what you like on it?

Having spent the past five days moving about 13 tons of stock around 1500 miles, I excuse myself for not answering yet.

The only way to have an 'adult' forum is to get people to pay with a credit card to use it - otherwise, anyone could say they were 18 and get in and I could be in a whole pile of...mess. Not something I'd really envisaged when I started an angling site.

I'll give it some thought, but have enough work problems at the mo' to keep me busy for a few days :(

ttfn,

I am not a 'power that is' but I don't think we need it. Things get pretty close to the bone in here from time to time as it is.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
