There are a few 'life' theories kicking around at the moment, some of the latest are....

 

1. Life came to Earth from Mars after a a huge meteor impact on that planet.

 

2. Life came to Earth via comets/meteors.

 

3. Life might have spread to Mars and even Europa from the Earth after a huge meteor impact.

 

I hope I'm still around when they send that probe to Europa, I want to see if Arthur C Clark got it right :D

It's a still from the film 2010, on Europa after Jupiter turns into a second sun. The big rectangular thing is one of the black monoliths :)
