Triploid? why in the world would they use triploid trout?

Because they won't breed successfully either way, but triploids don't put energy into producing sperm and eggs.

Got the day off Friday as we are moving house Saturday and I've managed to get a pass for the morning for one last crack of the barbel, if I don't get one this will be my first season that I havnt caught one when I've been actively targetting them

I've got the13th and 14th booked off in the hope of going fishing locally. However, my understanding and lovely wife is due to give birth on Monday. Our first was born 2 weeks late. What are the chances of me getting out fishing before the 2nd is born?

They have a habit of arriving when least expected, we had our last Saturday night alone planned and I was going fishing on the Sunday as Han was booked in for a csection on the Tuesday, we found ourselves rushing to the hospital late on the saturday afternoon as she went into labour! good luck Mike!

Thanks for the heads up Chris a decent barbel would be nice if it's my only one of the season. That's one of the areas I had in mind if hambridge isn't fishable, seems like a good place to get out of the heavy flow
