I finally got one to almost stand still....!!!

 

The best shot out of several....goodness only knows how AyJay manages his fabulous shots of dragonflies!

I have lots of patience, but unfortunately very little time at the moment!

 

I took loads of photo's yesterday on my way to work. Got some very strange looks too, as passers-by wondered what I was doing, dressed in my office suit, sticking my arm into a blackberry bush!

 

I'm sticking with my little Samsung. If I can get results like this with just a quick snap, there's no telling what I may be able to achieve once I've learned more and have more time.

Well there is no excuse really, your punishment is to make tea and coffee for everyone else for the rest of the day!!

 

These are a first for me. They are shots of the extremely rare Lizard Orchids.

 

Wow, they are incredibly beautiful! Where did you photograph them? (part of the country..not the actual location as they are rare)

Hi Steve,

 

They were photographed on Newmarket's 'Devil's Dyke'. I think it is one of only a tiny handful of sites where they grow in the Uk.
