I have two pairs of neo boots Speciman ---size 9s for the summer with my wetsuit and size 10s for winter when I use either merino socks or sealskinz socks under my drysuit :thumbs:have also been known to wear Eiger Sirius fur lined wellies but don't like to any more because of the safety aspect

I'll stay out of the Drysuit debate, but as for feet, ensure that the sole is thick, as some boots have very thin soles, aimed at the surfing and windsurfing market where feel is important.

Palm's boots have a good thick sole, although their sizing is all over the place, don't buy mail order, I've gone 2 sizes over my normal shoe size and they are still a little tight. A good alternative would be a wading boot, something that I'm toying with for the future.

On the subject of boots, I have a pair of these . Thick hard soles double neoprene well worth checking out.

Dry suits . How do you guys find the breathability of them?

Chuggs like the boots, can be used for wading to, very good.

As to dry suits, can we sum it up by saying that they are good if made of a gore-tex type material. Not PVC, and better if they have a pee zip and socks.

Looking forward to the evening next week, terry

richi liked the boots so much I ordered a pair 28 pounds including postage can,t be bad. Looking at dry suits with that pee zig, I had a hell of a time I remember getting taken short when wearing a dry suit without :blink: . terry
