Tugmistress might give you more pocket money if she thought you were sledding to the bus stop in a bin pursued by a bear.

Dye up a couple of the local sheep, fit them with big false teeth, hide your mum's specs and stuff your socks with silage.

Exit, pursued by a baaa :)

Well congratulations to you, dear lady.

Re: the teen-ager female offspring, a few words of comfort from one who had 'been there, done that'. You will be sorely tried for the next few years to the point that you will fear for your sanity. Interesting experience but one of the main reasons parents seem to age so much. Female children are much more wearing on the nerves than males too. Not that they behave any worse but you just worry more about them.

Things do ease off once they approach adulthood and if all goes well, it won't be too many years after that when you have teen-aged grandchildren and you can enjoy the sight of your offspring undergoing the same torture that you once did.

Since each child of yours can potentially produce multiple little blessed events, your enjoyment can last for years and years and years.

Just make sure you tell your youngsters (and often is best) that your fondest wish is that they be blessed with children who are just like them. :D:D
