Editing out unwanted contributors

I'm sure I've seen this mentioned on here but I can't find it.

If there is a particular contributors posts that you just find stupid or offensive, is there a way of editing them out so that you don't have to see them?

My controls > Options > Manage Ignored Users.

Whats the point of cutting out members posts?

If people have valid questions and answers, whats wrong with that thats? its debate that makes the thread what it is.

If people are offensive just report it to a mod.
