Ahhh I forgot you were one of them coarse angler type thingies

 

I remember a certain coarse angler type thingy giving me some advice once, leading to the capture of my first ever pike.

 

Holt was his name. Davy, I seem to recall :D

I did, actually. Don't know if Davy remembers, but I went and caught 6 on my first successful trip :D

 

I used to have a photo of him somewhere with a perch. Wish i could find it now LOL

Actually, I think that if it swims in water, salt or fresh, then Davy will fish for it !!!! :D:D

 

Yeah, I heard that Jacques Cousteau once got a 10/0 up his jacksy because he swam too close to Scotland :D

And here was me thinking Davy was a skate purist :rolleyes: Not long to go now. Just checked the "sea state" forcast for Amble on Sunday - 3 foot swell :):):)

 

Bring it on. Jan and Newt will catch cod :)

I remember it well, I also seem to remember someone missing out on a photo of his first 20 because he used all the film up taking "action" shots :)

right - i cant be there but i will offer a prize for the largest fish from the party over the weekend, if Newt or Jan are the winner then i need a UK addy to post it to before they head back to US (next day delivery)

 

Abu 7000 for heaviest / biggest fish - Davy to be the judge if he will
