I thought I suffered this particular fool long enough. Firstly I said I did not wish to discuss anything and "please leave". That didn't work, so I suggested he was in need of psychiatric help, and

What annoyed me most was that I was being preached at whilst still groggy from an operative procedure (they inject a lot of radio-opaque dye which causes visual migraine, mild hallucinations, and obvi

Well, I can say for sure that I enjoyed it, and I think it's safe to say everyone else did also. Thank's for organising it Andrew, it was a top day out and I was sorry when it ended !

Likewise, good company, a good laugh and good fun :)

Don't forget - I still have 5 boats booked for Friday 23rd, for anyone who fancies a return trip. Let me know.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

I had a great day, ended up with 21 zander, a perch and a trout. And two nights of curry and beers with JV44 and Rusty!

Many thanks to Andrew for organising and Rich for making sure I caught some fish.

Just looked at the water wolf footage - so, if you were wondering how dark it is at the bottom of Rutland, the answer is "absolutely pitch black".

I had great fun, the lack of wind made it difficult but I was comprehensively outfished by Steve:

You can see how flat it was! With no wind and no drifting it gets really hard to find fish.

What a shame. Why on earth does lure colour make such a difference?

Thanks for organising Anderoo.

It was a difficult day but I learnt a lot and finally got used to handling the boat and setting up drifts (a bit anyway!).

I finished with 11 Zander I think to 5lb 6oz.

Looking forward to going again but I think I'm all out of brownie points so two weeks time is probably not possible, I'll certainly be fishing again though... :-)

I reckon the distribution of fish within the boat is not far off random, the real key is being in the right place.
