In all seriousness I do hope those two tope are caught so the spinners can be removed,assuming they are still in.

Here's the first picture back for Norman Tweddle's tope. I am till waiting for those taken in the boat.

 

The formula just doesn't work on the bigger tope. I checked out my scales today measuring a bucket of water on dry land and then on a rocky boat and the hold feature isn't worth a damn and was often 20 % out.

 

There is no way the tope goes over a hundred. Looking through past pictures, my records and the UK Shark tagging data I would say my original estimate was slightly high. At the time the adrenaline is running and you want the fish back ASAP.

 

We will never now the true size but either way it was a hell of a fish.

 

The Huss picture is the one measured a few weeks ago by Andy Wainwright on Riptide at 23 pounds

havin caught 60lb tope that fish is way over 60lb an given that ian can guesstimate fish to within a couple of pounds and has taken fish to well into the 80,s i,m more than confident that his judgement will be better than most !!
