Now for the real biggy. A smelt that wouldn`t have registered on the scales, but was the first that Colin Penny ever saw caught!!!

OH. I nearly forgot the mackeral that tried its` best to make 4lbs!

Yes Dale I take the point that you make very succinctly. At the risk of going off on one of my famous tangents I was trying to replace the perpetual reminiscing about the good old days with a more postive approach based on the way thing are nowadays.

From the reports you post it is obvious that you do well based on a more adventurous approach than most.

small schoolie on a fly i added this cos its a first for me.

The first of many casting intructor cos you now have the necessary arsenal for fly fishing!

Hopefully come June I will get two new personal records - a tope from the boat and a tope from the shore. Am looking forward to it!
