London Tackle Shops?

Does anyone know of a tackle shop in North or East London? I'm thinking of the Islington, Hackney, Finsbury Park area. I wandered down to Stoke Newington only to find that Ashpoles Of Islington closed down two years ago..

I've done a google search and phoned a couple to no avail.

 

Any help much appreciated..

Don't know if either of these are still open, I've not been back to the area since I left in 1988.

 

Second one might be a bit further out than you want to go but Sharp's is about right for you.

Have you tried yellow pages or local Thompsons. Also Google can get you a list

I might try that Sharps place, NW5, thats Camden? Jigotai I've seen that list via Google but it's quite a number of years out of date, at least 2...

WNB, I hadn't actually thought of using such 'retro' techniques such as a Thompsons. I'll give it a go..

More or less, sort of Gospel Oak going towards Chalk Farm, but I'd give them a ring first, it was a bit old and run down when I knew it.

Sharps is still there according to someone i met last week.

 

Theres also Oakwood Angling near Oakwood tube.

 

 

I spotted one on the bus last week in Finchley that may have been Johns.
